Media is the photo library the rest of the Counter picks from — offering heroes, blog covers, gallery shots, product images. One library, so a photo is uploaded once and used everywhere.
Find it: Setup → Media.
Column 2 — Library
Every image you have, with Search to find one fast.
Column 3 — the image
Add to your library uploads; each image then carries:
- A description — "describe what is in the picture." This is the alt text, "read aloud by screen readers, and by search engines" — it's both accessibility and SEO, so write what's actually in the frame.
- Tags — "for finding it again."
Common jobs
- Batch your uploads: after a shoot, load the keepers in one sitting and describe them while you still remember what's what.
- Describe like a caption: "Barber fading a client's hair at the front chair" beats "image1." Search engines index your photos through these lines.
- Photos become public when a page uses them — being in the library is not the same as being on the site. The public photo wall is curated separately on Setup → Gallery.
